The Warwick Guest House - Margate

- Special feature -

27 Warwick Road
Cliftonville
Margate
Kent
CT9 2JU

The Warwick is a beautifully restored Edwardian house run by Richard and Rob. The welcome and service here is second to none, they really make you feel at home.

The stunning dining room where breakfast is served each morning.

Every part of the house has been beautifully decorated.

Our room was really spacious and homely with books above the fireplace.

The way the sleeves on the dressing gowns were tucked into the pocket was a lovely little touch!

A well equipped drinks tray, penguin chocolate biscuits could be found inside the mugs and the red and white wine was a nice treat before heading out for the night into Margate.

You're really spoilt for choice here at breakfast time.

Homemade jam and marmalade can be found on the table, both delicious! Fresh filter coffee arrived in a cafetiere, tea and orange juice are available too.

On the first morning we enjoyed these delicious homemade chocolate muffins.

My wife chose the vegetarian full English.

I chose the full English, the locally sourced meats were superb with stunning flavour and texture. Slow roasted tomatoes packed full of flavour, crispy hash brown and delicious mushrooms and beans. I enjoyed the fried egg on top of some buttered toast.

The toast is cut from their own delicious home made loaf.

On the second morning we were treated to some amazing orange and elderflower muffins topped with icing and sprinkles. These were really special with a moist texture, they tasted so good.

My wife chose poached eggs served on buttered muffins with slow roasted tomatoes.

I couldn't resist another full English, I decided to go for scrambled eggs and venison sausages this morning. Certainly the best venison sausages I'd ever eaten and amazing scrambled eggs, a hugely enjoyable breakfast!

Fresh Kent strawberries and cream served on homemade chocolate and walnut bread was a summer special available during our stay. We couldn't resist trying this too and what a treat it was, the perfect end to our stay at this amazing guesthouse! If you're looking for somewhere really special to stay on a trip to Margate then look no further than The Warwick Guest House, you're certainly in for a treat!

  1. Loving that second brekko with the venison sausages and scrambled egg. And I must say someone there is very adept at poaching eggs.
